Hello! I'm Kathi Jo DeYoung. I started out my career in education and transitioned into the business world working in sales, administration and human resources. My coach training came from the Institute of Life Coach Training, an accredited program with the International Coach Federation.
I am a director for BNI of Michigan and also a member of the local Leads to Success BNI group where I have served as the Education Coordinator and President.
I also volunteer for Junior Achievement in middle schools here in Grand Rapids.
My personal journey has been one of winding roads! I am married and my husband and I have five children - two daughters, two sons and one daughter-in-law. We also have three granddaughters.
With a husband, children, parents, a career and volunteer experiences life sometimes feels like a super highway.
In December of 2003, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away in 2004. Walking the journey of living to dying with him was both a privilege and a profound sorrow. Then in August of 2006 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and now celebrate “No more cancer cells!”
I have published articles in national magazines and been a guest speaker on radio and television. But what I enjoy most is working with my clients. Shedding light on the challenges in their lives or helping them take steps toward achieving their goals. In April 2010 I celebrated 5 years in my coaching business.
